VERY VICTORIA

I am so happy to be back home in LA.  In the last three weeks I have been to Paris, London, Taormina, and NYC.  If you followed me on Twitter you would have been first hand at all the Haute Couture shows, the opening of the James Bond retrospective at the Barbican, and the debut of Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Moda collection.  This has absolutely nothing to do with this pretty in pink dress below, but I've missed you guys so it's good to be able to have some fashion talk with you.
Victoria Beckham is doing gangbusters business selling clean 1960s inspired dresses with little affectation and tremendous wearability.  Who would have that something so basic and essential would lead to such a successful brand?  Well, she's a smart and stylish woman who realized day wear need not be boring and actually needs to exist since so many designer brands fill their stores solely with evening and cocktail.  VB has you covered for day.  But she isn't reinviting the wheel!  This Norman Norell baby pink wool pique dress has long sleeves, a round neck, and an optional white belt.  The only ornamentation are tonal buttons going up the back.  I also love this dress sans belt for a more relaxed feel.  Perfect worn casually with a chic little Capri sandal or even a pair of Keds for a full-on WASPY moment.  Throw on a princess heel and you can dress this dress up for anything but a BBQ.
Did you miss me?
