BACK FROM PARIS AND PROVENCE

I am totally pooped. After spending five non-stop days in Paris during the Haute Couture shows, I went to Provence and stayed with my amazing friends at SCAD Lacoste. SCAD is short for Savannah College of Art and Design and they have a campus in Lacoste, the historic medieval village that is also home to the Marquis de Sade's castle. Not a bad location to be a student, is it? I painted for four days and am still not much of an artist but had a blast being guided by professor Katherine Sandoz in a classroom with Chris Benz and Derek Blasberg. There are fun photos on my Facebook page so "friend" me for some amusing pictures.

The Lacoste lifestyle doesn't call for vintage Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche charcoal denim ensembles, but the oversized jacket reminds me a bit of an artist's smock so I thought this was the right post for a jet lagged Wednesday. Two hours from Lacoste, is Nice and certainly the denim bustier and fitted skirt would be perfect for a night out in St. Tropez. The contrast red stiching would pick up the lacquered sold of your Louboutin heels so this look can go from Lacoste to Ooh La La with the elimination of the jacket.

There is denim and then there is vintage YSL Rive Gauche denim. YSL is always the winner.
