SLAVE FOR YOU

The women who shop at Decades aren't what we call "slaves to fashion." They are fashion dictators who don't follow trends, but set them. Although we primarily sell vintage couture and costume jewelry, we also love the real stuff and have been known to have some great mid-century 18K jewels by Bulgari, Cartier, Hermes, and VCA. When these pieces come our way, they tend to sell quite fast and often don't make in on the blog. This Dinh Van for Cartier 1970's 18K and platinum cuff will actually turn the wearer into a slave to fashion. With a hint of fetishism and Roman Gladiator chic, the base of the cuff is 18K but the movable ring is platinum. Designed in the early 1970s by the Vietnamese gold and silversmith designer Dinh Van who worked at Cartier before opening his eponymous house, this is an extremely unusual design that is completely modern and not what one normally expects from the more stoic Maison Cartier.
