Springtime for Oleg.

Oleg Cassini designed the dress below, if you are unfamiliar with the work or Mr. Cassini click HERE. Although born in France, and raised in Italy, this American designer created the iconic clothing that Jacqueline Kennedy wore while she was in the White House with JFK. He was also married to Gene Tierney and designed the costumes for nine of her films along with some television and Broadway costumes.

The piece below is not your average Cassini, it is very much in the spirit of Pucci and Roberto Di Camerino (the two great Italian print designers). The bottom skirt portion is a line print of green, blue's and purple, (very Camerino). The top portion has a deep V neck and has a floral print over royal blue background (very Pucci). Separating the two sections is a geometric floral design printed belt running around the dress. The material the dress is constructed from is a very light jersey, perfect for those hot days that are sure to be here soon.

Oleg Cassini jersey bright colors print V neck dress, c.1960's. Contemporary size 4.
