MORE TWO-FERS!

Avid clients of Decades and blog readers alike know that we love two piece ensembles or "two-fers" as we affectionately call them. This 1970s Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche shirt and wrap skirt is a great two-fer. Let's begin with the wonderful silk fabric and print. Stripes of cantaloupe, mocha, black and grey are splattered with gold metallic free form dots. It's as if Jackson Pollock took some good leaf and decorated the fabric. The top is a classic men's style button-down shirt. The original owner wore the ensemble with the shirt tied at the waist. The wrap skirt has an asymmetric seam across the hips that creates a lovely tango design via its gathers (classic YSL). We say wear this together and wear these pieces individually. The blouse with jeans: chic! The skirt with a tank top: chic! The ensemble together: chic! Get it? This is totally chic. Imagine the possibilities.
