Halston Noir

Halston was a master at draping/construction and his ability to use color and prints often in tribal and color-block motifs has always been marvelous to wear. One can imagine what Halston was able to accomplish with a palette of just black. And here it is. This Halston evening dress of black organza is constructed with two pieces. The top layer is a tank dress and the foundation piece is an extra half slip skirt which has an elastic waist. The dress is covered in layers of black organza ruffles.which have a slight Spanish flair. The dress is cut so that you see the ruffles down the front, but is completely minimal from the back. This is a great evening dress to personalize with a bold belt and colorful jewels. The dress won't compete with your accessories, but compliment them in a thoroughly modern way....modern, albeit around thirty years old...that's Halston and that's Decades.

Halston black organza tank dress with ruffle front skirt, c. early 1980's. Contemporary size 4-6. SOLD
