VERY PRETTY IN PINK

It's been too long since we posted a great 50s-era party dress. While the nation is consumed with AMC's hit show Mad Men, we thought it would be nice to post something you might actually see on the show. (Yes, we know the show now takes place in the early 1960s; and yes, the dress is actually circa the late 1950s, so it is a style that is still en Vogue for the show and for now!).

Originals by Rudolph is not a dress maker with which we have familiarity, but if there is one thing Decades sure knows, it's quality and style. In the style of both Jean Desses and Ceil Chapman, this beautifully draped ombre chiffon dress in shades of rose has an incredibly detailed bodice and a skirt that is fluid. The tiny spaghetti straps are feminine and delicate, just like this dress.

If you are the type of woman who gravitates to the modern designs of Oscar de la Renta, this may be the dress for you. With Couture-like quality (after all this dress is an "Original"), this is clearly a dress one won't see on anyone else, except, perhaps Betty Draper.

Originals by Rudolph custom rose chiffon pleated party dress, c 1950s. Modern size 4 to small 6. SOLD
