CAPE CRUSARDERS

This has been the summer of the Cape Crusader, with the latest Batman sequel, The Dark Knight, breaking box office records left and right. Well at Decades, we've recognized the Cape Crusader moment and are pleased to present two sexy 70s evening dresses with optional capes. The silk satin spaghetti strap halter in panna cotta by Judith Wister has a fabric flower at the bust and a layered cutaway skirt that makes movement very easy. The optional cape is shaped to follow the sensuality of the dress. The marigold crepe bias cut Torrente Haute Couture gown also has spaghetti straps and the bust line is gathered distinctively. The cape makes the front of the dress as dramatic as the back, but done with simplicity and taste. Torrente is not a label that often surfaces at Decades, but when it does, we are always thrilled with the glamorous designs of Madame Torrente from the 1970s.
